Do I need Tax Investigation Advice?

HMRC will write or phone to say that they want to check your records. They may visit your home or business to conduct their checks. If you fail to comply you may have to pay a penalty. It is during these times that you may need tax investigation advice.

Our Approach to Tax Investigations

Engaging a Chartered Accountant should reduce the likelihood of HMRC opening an investigation because your accountant should ensure that all your tax affairs are accurate and complete. However, HMRC still open investigations at random and so anyone can face an enquiry. If you need support with responding to HMRC we can assist you through the process by negotiating with HMRC on your behalf and help you minimise your tax exposure so that disputes can be resolved quickly.
